Learn Maternal Health and OB Care in Virtual Nursing Simulations
Unique Scenarios Provide Authentic Experiences and Training for Student and Licensed Nurses
With the maternal health and OB virtual clinicals and simulations from Sentinel U®, learners are able to work through a variety of situations wherein they must make care decisions for mothers and babies presenting with a wide range of conditions. Our unique collection of nursing simulations provide multiple scenarios for learners to prioritize care and to utilize Telehealth to evaluate, assess, and treat patients. These simulations are a perfect supplement to a nursing student’s curriculum and for licensed nurses to further their professional development.

Learn more about virtual nursing simulations & Clinicals

Telehealth - Maternal/OB
Our Maternal/OB virtual simulations and clinicals within the Telehealth Series™ allow learners to complete three case studies, each with a different patient. Learners will practice necessary clinical judgment and communication skills to assess, monitor, and evaluate the care of these patients remotely. Within these virtual simulations and clinicals, learners will interpret alerts to provide long-distance clinical care and professional health education using electronic data and telecommunications technology.

Prioritization of Care® - Antepartum/Intrapartum Care
This virtual simulation and clinical presents the learner with five Antepartum/Intrapartum patients, each presenting with a variety of conditions. The learner must use clinical judgment skills to decide if the patients’ care should be managed in the OB unit or women’s health clinic and prioritize the order in which the patients should receive care. This simulation comes with inpatient or outpatient setting options and includes a variety of patient conditions such as ectopic pregnancy, gestational diabetes, hypothyroidism, and preterm labor.

Prioritization of Care® - Postpartum/Neonatal Care
The Postpartum/Neonatal Care virtual simulations and clinicals within the Prioritization of Care® Specialty Series present the learner with a variety of postpartum and newborn patients. Students and practicing nurses are presented with multiple inpatient or outpatient setting options and includes a variety of patient conditions such as neonatal infection, postpartum hemorrhage, postmaturity syndrome, mastitis, hyperbilirubinemia, and warfarin therapy.

Advanced Practice Series™
The Advanced Practice Series™ simulations provide a variety of authentic virtual clinical encounters for nurse practitioners, physician assistants/associates, and medical students. Created by advanced practice subject matter experts, the simulation features 11 modules, including adult and pediatric mental health scenarios, to prepare learners for real-world encounters.
